Who We Are
The California Independent Provider Training Center (CAIPTC) is a full-service training center, providing quality training and support to those that work directly with seniors, as well as individuals with disabilities, including children, in California. Classes offered include:
- American Red Cross certified CPR/First Aid/AED
- American Red Cross certified Family Caregiving
- US Civics classes
In the near future, we hope to expand to offer nutrition and healthy eating workshops, Homecare Training, Diabetes Prevention, Beginning Computers, ESL, Adult Math and Adult English.
Classes have been scheduled throughout the state. Specifically, we service the following counties: San Diego, Riverside, Orange, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Kern, Merced, Stanislaus, Placer and El Dorado.
Our Mission
As so-called “baby boomers” are moving beyond the prime years of their life into their senior years, there is an increasing population of individuals in California needing in-home care services, such as housecleaning, meal preparation, laundry, grocery shopping, personal care services, accompaniment to appointments and protective supervision. Even as the senior population in California is growing, there also exists a disabled community that needs in-home care services, including disabled children.
The California Independent Provider Training Center (CAIPTC) seeks to professionalize the homecare provider industry and provide upward mobility and increased career opportunities to home care providers in California by providing training in skills essential to home care providers.
The CAIPTC will provide training opportunities to home care providers regardless of race, gender, nationality, age, sexual orientation, marital status, socioeconomic status or union status. The goal of the California Independent Provider Training Center is to avoid charging its students a fee for instruction wherever possible, and to minimize fees charged when necessary, in order to maximize access for all people.
The CAIPTC is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization.
